We’ve gathered some of our favorite must-visit trick-or-treating neighborhoods to make sure your Halloween is spooky-sweet. 

Steiner Ranch 

Steiner Ranch is a master-planned community and it’s semi-private and secure make it a great trick-or-treating destination for families wanting to avoid busy streets. Not only is its design family-friendly, master-planned communities typically have a higher density of families and children making it a great place to score candy. The community also hosts an annual Trunk-or-Treat, a block-party-style event featuring decked out cars to trick-or-treat from. 

Hyde Park 

Arguably one of Austin’s most walkable neighborhoods, Hyde Park’s central location offers vintage charm and pleasant, tree-lined streets making it a top trick-or-treating destination. Residents go all out with elaborate decorations and heaping bowls of candy, and its historic homes off the chance for a ghost sighting which helps kick up the spooky factor. 

Rosewood

Located just west of Hyde Park, Rosewood’s suburb-in-the-city boasts an active and family-friendly community that is perfect for treat-or-treating. The pedestrian-friendly streets and tightly nit home lots make it an easy pick for your little ones looking to gather as much candy as possible. 

Allandale

Located north of downtown, Allandale is a neighborhood off the beaten path and densely populated with families. Its proximity to several schools and local businesses helps ensure its streets are well-lit making it an ideal place to trick-or-treat.
