With Austin’s Fall weather finally arriving, there is nothing better than spending time outdoors. The city and surrounding areas are bursting with scenic trails, photo-ops, and festivals to enjoy. We have put together a list of fun activities to enjoy with your friends and family this Fall.

Enchanted Rock in Fall

Take A Hike

Get outside and enjoy the crisp fresh air and scenic views with a hike on one of Austin’s many trails. You can stay close to home and enjoy the 7.9 mile Barton Creek Greenbelt or make the trip out to Enchanted Rock and explore a few of their shorter trails.

Pumpkin Express – October 28

Take a quick trip out of town on the Pumpkin Express. The train takes you to the sleepy town of Bertram to pick a pumpkin from the Depot Pumpkin Patch. Kids of all ages will enjoy a chat with Farmer Brown, take a tour of our historic 1912 train depot, and sip apple cider. For tickets and more information, click here.

Texas Book Festival – October 27-28

Visit downtown for one of the largest library festivals in the nation. The festival, which is all day Saturday and Sunday, features over 250 critically acclaimed adult and children’s authors, local food vendors, and family activities. Click here for more information.

Fall 2018 Wurstfest

Wurstfest – November 2-11
