Turkey Trot

The 31st annual ThunderCloud Subs Turkey Trot is back in-person this year and is one of Austin’s beloved Thanksgiving traditions. Whether you wish to sign up for the full 5 miles, 1 mile or the kid’s run, the Turkey Trot is the perfect way to get your family outside and active before the festivities and meals begin. The run is not only a great way for families to come together, but it is also an event that gives 100% of proceeds to Caritas of Austin, a non-profit working to prevent homelesness in Austin.

Pumpkin Patches

Take a quick trip to Marble Falls to experience Sweet Berry Farm, a year-round strawberry farm that transforms into a fun fall farm full of pumpkins, farm animals, corn mazes, and more. This is a great spot to take your kids to enjoy the outdoors with free entry which gives you the opportunity to spend as little or as much as you choose. If you are wishing to stay a little closer to the city, venture to Barton Hill Farms for Austin’s favorite family-owned and operated pumpkin patch. The farm contains plenty of activities to keep you and your family busy with a 5-acre corn maze, pumpkin patch, hay rides, live music, great food and so much more. The rolling hills and views from both farms offer a picture-perfect moment, along with a lively opportunity to begin your fall home decorating.
