With summer in full swing, it can be easy to forget to prepare for the Fourth of July. It may seem difficult to throw something together in such a short amount of time, but we’ve gathered a few of our favorite tips on how to throw a perfect Fourth of July Party in no time.
Your backyard can serve as the perfect venue to celebrate the fourth. All you need is some outdoor furniture to transform the space into an inviting hangout. Get creative by incorporating indoor furniture to have more seating for everyone. Protect your guest from the heat by setting up umbrellas or tens to create shaded areas.
Food and Drinks
Get your grill ready. Something as simple as hamburgers and hotdogs is the perfect meal for a Fourth of July party. Queso and guacamole are delicious and simple appetizers which can be made last minute and are definite crowd pleasers. Be sure to have plenty of drinks to quench everyone’s thirst. We recommend setting up a drink station and including water, lemonade or iced tea, and refreshing cocktail for the adults.
With its straightforward color scheme, the Fourth is an easy holiday to decorate for. There are countless decorations to transform your house into an impressive Fourth of July Party. A festive idea we love is buying mini American flags in bulk and setting them up around the house or used as a centerpiece. Red, white, and blue paper plates and plastic eating utensils are festive and make for an easy cleanup. White and blue flowers are elegant and an excellent centerpiece for your tables.
Keeping your guests entertained and happy can be a stressful task. Having a music playlist prepared will enhance the atmosphere and add liveliness to the party. To keep kids occupied we recommend setting up a few yard games or play areas. Some of our favorites include setting up cornhole and horseshoes or a sprinkler area. For adults, setting up a game of washers or croquet is easy and lots of fun.
